~BIOGRAPHY~
EDUCATION:
Jessica completed her B.A. in both Theatre Production and Design as well as Journalism/Multimedia Communication at CSU. For her time as an undergraduate, she focused on design and production for both stage and television. Check out her resume for more information.
CURRENT POSITION:
Jessica Bruner (formally Whitehead) currently works as a Coordinator/Sales Associate and Technician/Music Designer for Hawaii Sound and Vision (HSV). Wearing multiple hats, Jessica is a key player in the company from sales to field work. HSV is an audio visual company based in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. As a portable company, HSV serves as a full service audio/visual company providing all sound, lighting and enhancement needs for weddings, performances, musicians, events, conferences, parties and more.
Jessica's responsibilities as the Technical Sales Associate/Coordinator include: contracting/pricing, coordination, timelines/schedules, communicating with clients, implementation. Responsibilities as a Technician/Music Designer include: sound/lighting board operation, setup/breakdown of lighting and sound systems, loading and transporting equipment, event coordinating, serving as a DJ/Music Designer/Emcee for weddings and events.
PREVIOUS POSITION:
Colorado State University in the School of Music, Theatre and Dance - Master Electrician/Resident Lighting Designer/Instructor for 6 venues within the University Center for the Arts. As the Master Electrician, responsibilities included: implementing lighting, sound and digital media designs in 6 different venues; supervision of electrics crew, workstudy and practicum students at all levels of experience; maintenance of fixtures, cables, hazers, consoles, etc.; tracking shop and show budgets; training design students on consoles, plots, color/gobo schedules, computer programs, etc.
As a design mentor and instructor for lighting, and digital media student designers, responsibilities include: overseeing the design process and providing input, guidance and technical support from beginning to end ensuring student success from page to stage.
